4th IEEE ICET (IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies) will be held in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on 18-19 October 2008. It is organized by the College Of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering (CEME) with co-sponsorship of IEEE Islamabad section. The publications in the conference will be searchable through IEEE Xplore ®.

IEEE ICET 2008 conference is the 4th of its series, planned to be held every year. ICET is an advanced technical conference, covering various disciplines under IEEE’s domain thereby inviting interest of a large audience. The conference targets the research presentations by both academic and professional researchers from all over the world. It also includes a series of tutorials enabling participants to learn about the latest trends in technology. Contributions are expected from the participants, covering different interests and viewpoints, including technical papers, panel discussions, tutorials.

Technical papers describing original work are solicited in the areas of communications, control, electronics, information technology and power, and in the relevant areas of interest including the following:

Submission Guidelines

Prospective authors are requested to submit their manuscripts electronically through our web site or mail at Conference Secretariat Address. The paper must be submitted in PDF format complying with the IEEE guidelines. Papers’ length should not exceed 6 pages, including figures and references. All submissions should include the affiliation, address, telephone number, fax number and email address of the corresponding author.

All submitted papers will pass through a thorough peer review. The papers will be accepted for either conference presentation or for poster session. Both oral and poster presentations will be published in the conference proceedings.

Tutorials

There will be tutorials covering major areas of the conference. Tutorials will be given by renowned experts of the domain and will be designed to give maximum background knowledge of the respective area to the audience.
